Arca ‘Xen’

Arca’s music is compelling and confusing in equal measure. As the current crop of renaissance producers go he is just about as audacious as they come and the title track to his latest solo LP ‘Xen’ is a prime example of his truly immersive and limitless music making.

Imagine if all musicians were able to create songs that felt so free? It is often a tricky task to showcase those human touches within the realms of electronica and yet Arca does it every time.

What is the opening sound that drives ‘Xen’. It sounds like a receipt being printed by the most futuristic cash register ever.
